Get fit, learn self-defence and have fun. Muay Thai and kickboxing for all levels, from total beginner to fighter, in Balgowlah, Manly.

At Bulldog Gym Balgowlah, our Thai boxing classes cover every aspect of Thai boxing and kickboxing, from beginner right through to fighter level. Muay Thai is the art of eight limbs - punches, kicks, knees and elbow strikes - with real, practical applications at any skill level. Challenge yourself, build serious conditioning, and train alongside a room full of people chasing the same goals. Sparring is optional. The intensity isn't.

Brand new to Muay Thai? You'll begin in our beginner-friendly Intro Class on Monday at 7pm, where our coaches take you through the basics. From there you'll move into the dedicated beginner and all-levels classes at your own pace.

Thai Boxing Questions

Boxing uses the hands only. Muay Thai is the art of eight limbs - punches, kicks, knees and elbows, plus clinch work. You build a far wider range of striking, footwork and conditioning.

In our beginner-friendly Intro Class on Monday at 7pm. You'll learn the fundamentals in a relaxed setting before moving into the beginner and all-levels classes at your own pace.

Comfortable workout gear, a water bottle and a towel. We'll provide gloves and wraps to get you started, so there's no need to buy any equipment on day one.

No. Sparring is completely optional. Plenty of members train purely for fitness, skill and stress relief and never spar. When you're ready to, dedicated sparring sessions are there for you.
